A woman from Indiana named Kari Lewis has been told numerous times that she bears a striking resemblance to actress Emma Watson, known for her roles as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Kari, who has been compared to Watson since 2001, often gets mistaken for the actress in photos. Despite having a regular job as an instructional assistant, Kari also makes extra money by impersonating Watson’s famous characters.

She even shared a side-by-side photo of Emma Watson in the film and herself in costume. “My mom always tells me that we look alike,” Kari mentioned. “Sometimes she sees a picture of Emma Watson and thinks it’s me.”
While working at a restaurant, Kari would often receive comments from customers who were amazed by the resemblance. “It’s always entertaining to see their reactions; I can see why people say I resemble her,” she said. The first time Kari was compared to Emma Watson was during a visit to the post office shortly after the release of the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

“I had no idea who that was, so I looked it up when I got home and saw the resemblance.”

Kari, a mother of one, loves to bring magic to children’s parties by dressing up as Belle from the 2017 film. She also enjoys transforming into Hogwarts’ very own Hermione Granger, complete with a cloak, cardigan, white blouse, grey skirt, Gryffindor tie and scarf, black tights, shoes, and of course, Hermione’s wand. Another favorite look of hers is ‘Time Turner Hermione’ from the third Harry Potter film, complete with a replica of Hermione’s iconic Time-Turner. Kari has even been hired by convention organizers to portray Hermione as a cosplayer, and she loves the reactions from people when they see her in character.
